Process

Stupid Monkey was my graduation film while obtaining my masters degree in animation at St. Joost acadamy in 2012. I wrote my thesis on the comedy of violence in animation, something I've always relished while watching gruesome and violent animation.

This short film was made over the very short period of four months, from script to final animation and compositing. I had a crazy animation schedule, animating up to four or five shots a day. Somehow I finished and survived. Don't ask how.
